Typical National Conveyors Custom Designed Chip Processing System

Bundles of steel machine turnings collected from the factory floor are dumped in a receiving hopper from which they are conveyed outside to a National-Arboga vertical crusher which can be seen in the upper left area of the photograph. Crushed steel chips are then conveyed from beneath the crusher to a National horizontal bowl chip wringer (centrifuge) for extraction of cutting fluids. Chip wringer "dry chip" discharge reports to an elevating conveyor for transfer to a horizontal load out conveyor fitted with two motorized swivel chutes. Each chute can travel in a 360° arc, thereby loading two adjacent roll-off containers as shown above.
