Low Capacity Pneumatic Discharge Metal Chip Wringer (Centrifuge) |
Model VD 40The National VD40 Compact Pneumatic Discharge Metal Chip Wringer is the simplest and most cost effective way to dry and convey metal chips for applications with limited available floor space. The model VD40 Chip Wringer can be placed directly beneath the discharge of a machine tool chip conveyor and will take less space than an average shop floor chip collecting container. The special centrifugal action will both dry the wet chips to 1-3% residual moisture at a rate of up to 550 pounds (230kg) per hour and pneumaticaly convey the processed material 30 feet (10 meters) or somewhat further away. |

The smart, economical and easy way to dry and convey metal chips. |
OperationWet metal chips with lengths up to 1-1/4" (30mm) are fed into the inlet of the chip wringer. Bar ends and oversize material can be screened out with an optional bar end separator.Wet metal chips enter the center of the bowl and are displaced upwards by the incoming chip feed. Cutting fluids pass through a wedge wire screen in the upper periphery and dry metal chips are pneumatically expelled out of the chip wringer through a pipeline to a shop container. There is an inspection door at the top of the machine to provide access to the drum for easy inspection and service. The door includes a safety interlock to prevent access during operation. |
